Senior DevOps Engineer
Job Summary
To support a growing global engineering organization, the remote Senior DevOps Engineer will manage and enhance highly scalable systems for millions of devices, focusing on infrastructure architecture, reliability, automation, and cloud efficiency.
Key responsibilities
- Manage and improve systems supporting millions of devices across geographically distributed platform instances
- Collaborate with engineering leaders to develop scalable objectives and execute infrastructure improvement initiatives
- Identify opportunities for automation and participate in a scheduled 24/7 on-call rotation for production systems
Required qualifications
- 8+ years of experience with Docker-based microservices, PaaS environments, and cloud technologies
- 5+ years of networking experience on AWS and GCP, including high-availability applications
- Proficiency in Linux with 5+ years in system administration and scripting using Python and Bash
- 3+ years managing high-availability Kafka clusters and experience with database technologies like MySQL or Cassandra
- Experience with infrastructure automation tools, particularly Terraform, and modern CI/CD practices
