Senior DevSecOps Engineer

Job Summary

Owning and evolving the platform, the remote full-time Senior DevSecOps Engineer will manage Terraform, EKS, GitLab CI/CD security gates, GitOps delivery, observability, and FISMA controls while setting engineering standards for the team.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the Terraform estate, ensuring state isolation and module consumption best practices
• Build and operate EKS and GitLab CI, implementing security measures and CI/CD pipelines
• Establish AWS-native observability stacks and drive private-network migration while closing FISMA gaps

Required qualifications

• Extensive experience with Terraform at scale, including state migration and module writing
• Strong background in AWS cloud engineering, particularly with VPC, IAM/OIDC, and EKS
• Hands-on experience operating EKS, including node/pod networking and troubleshooting
• Knowledge of CI/CD security practices, including SAST and secret scanning
• Familiarity with federal compliance standards such as NIST 800-53 and FISMA-Moderate
