Senior DevSecOps Engineer
Job Summary
Supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs RISE program, the fully remote Senior DevSecOps Engineer will guide teams in integrating with the Amazon MSK (Kafka) event bus, build secure CI/CD pipelines, and maintain AWS infrastructure while ensuring compliance and observability.
Key responsibilities
- Guide teams through the integration process with the Amazon MSK event bus, from design to production cutover
- Build and maintain secure, automated CI/CD pipelines that incorporate security practices into every release
- Operate and evolve AWS infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) while ensuring strong observability and incident response practices
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent professional experience)
- 8+ years of experience in DevOps, DevSecOps, Cloud Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, or Platform Engineering
- Hands-on production experience with Amazon MSK and/or Apache Kafka
- Strong experience with AWS cloud services; GovCloud experience preferred
- Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for enterprise applications
