Job Summary
Acting as an incident response engagement lead, the full-time Senior DFIR Consultant will deliver expert consulting and digital forensics services to external clients during urgent cybersecurity incidents while working remotely within the U.S. and potentially traveling up to 5% of the time.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead incident response engagements, conducting digital forensics investigations and malware analysis to identify the scope and root cause of security incidents
- Provide 24/7 on-call incident response services to contain active threats and preserve evidence
- Deliver executive-level briefings and reports, translating technical findings into business impact assessments and actionable recommendations
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and 5 or more years of experience in the Cyber Security domain, or equivalent experience through apprenticeship or high school diploma with additional years of experience
- Advanced proficiency in Digital Forensics & Incident Response
- Advanced skills in Client Communication & Stakeholder Management
- Proficiency in Windows/Linux Operating System Forensics and Forensic Tool Proficiency
- Experience with Ransomware & Business Email Compromise (BEC) Investigations
