Senior Director, AI Platform Engineering

Job Summary

To build the AI foundation for internal use cases, the full-time remote Senior Director, AI Platform Engineering will manage the roadmap for SentinelOne's enterprise AI platform, overseeing the design and operation of the AI Gateway and Harness layers while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure security and integration.

Key responsibilities

• Own and execute the roadmap for the enterprise AI platform, transitioning to a governed, multi-model control plane
• Design and build the AI Gateway layer, ensuring centralized identity, token budgeting, and audit trails across AI requests
• Hire, mentor, and technically lead a team of engineers, setting standards and reviewing architectural decisions

Required qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering experience, including 3 years in an engineering leadership role and 1 year in AI or ML infrastructure
• Experience building a production platform that enforces centralized policy across multiple consumers
• Hands-on depth in agent orchestration and experience with hosted model providers like AWS Bedrock and Google Vertex
• Familiarity with enterprise AI deployments, specifically Claude Enterprise and Gemini Enterprise
• Strong software engineering background, including proficiency in Python, FastAPI, React, and TypeScript
