Senior Director of AI Engineering

Job Summary

Leading a cross-functional team, the full-time Senior Director of AI Engineering will oversee the design and deployment of AI-powered products, focusing on responsible AI systems and large-scale production AI infrastructure in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with engineers, research scientists, and product managers to deliver innovative AI solutions
• Manage the development, testing, and support of AI software components, including foundation model training and model evaluation
• Drive the technical vision and roadmap for foundational AI systems while attracting and developing top talent in the AI field

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or AI with at least 10 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with at least 8 years of experience
• Minimum of 5 years of people leadership experience
• Experience in developing or leading AI and ML algorithms or technologies
• Strong foundation in engineering and mathematics with expertise in AI optimization
• Passion for staying updated on the latest AI research and applying novel techniques in production
