Senior Director of AI Engineering

Job Summary

Leading a team of engineers in a full-time remote or New York City-based position, the Senior Director of AI Engineering will drive technical strategies for deploying AI solutions, ensuring high-quality outputs from various AI models and fostering collaboration across product and research teams.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the technical integration of AI models, ensuring quality and performance align with business goals
• Collaborate with scientists and engineers to deliver scalable AI solutions for real-time event detection
• Define and monitor quality and cost metrics for AI models and their end-to-end performance

Required qualifications

• Graduate degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
• At least 7 years of industry experience as a software engineer in a cloud-native environment
• A minimum of 5 years leading software engineers in an AI-focused team
• Experience with deep learning frameworks and large-scale machine learning deployments
• Proven track record of delivering complex AI projects successfully
