Senior Director of AI Engineering
Job Summary
To lead the development of innovative AI-powered products, the full-time Senior Director of AI Engineering will manage cross-functional teams to design, deploy, and optimize AI software components while fostering a culture of talent development and technical excellence, with the option for remote work.
Key responsibilities
- Partner with engineers, research scientists, and product managers to deliver AI solutions that enhance customer interactions
- Oversee the entire lifecycle of AI software components including training, evaluation, and deployment
- Make strategic build-vs-buy decisions regarding AI technologies and contribute to the long-term technical vision of foundational AI systems
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or AI with at least 10 years of experience in AI and ML, or a Master's degree with at least 8 years of experience
- Minimum of 5 years of people leadership experience
- Experience in deploying scalable AI solutions on cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure)
- Strong foundation in engineering and mathematics with expertise in AI optimization techniques
- Passion for staying updated on the latest AI research and applying novel techniques in production
