Senior Director of AI Engineering
Job Summary
Leading the engineering teams for enterprise AI platform initiatives, the full-time Senior Director of AI Engineering will manage capabilities in document pipelines, event-driven architecture, and agentic user interfaces, while building and scaling teams and ensuring high-quality software delivery in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Lead engineering teams in delivering and supporting enterprise-scale AI platform capabilities from build through production
- Recruit, hire, and mentor engineering talent while fostering a strong engineering culture focused on innovation and accountability
- Collaborate with executive leadership and stakeholders to shape the platform's roadmap and ensure adherence to architectural standards
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or equivalent experience
- 12+ years of software engineering experience, including 7+ years in leadership roles managing large, distributed teams
- Proven track record of delivering complex, enterprise-scale software projects on time and within budget
- Strong technical expertise in software architecture, API development, and cloud services
- Experience using AI-assisted development platforms and familiarity with AI-enabled software delivery practices
