Senior Director of Applied AI

Job Summary

Leading a cross-functional design delivery team, the full-time remote Senior Director of Applied AI will be responsible for shaping the operational strategy and feasibility processes across therapeutic areas while driving AI initiatives to enhance clinical trial design and execution.

Key responsibilities

• Define and manage the multi-year Applied AI roadmap for Clinical Development & Operations, ensuring alignment with enterprise strategy
• Lead the development of predictive enrollment models and real-time monitoring capabilities to enhance trial forecasting accuracy
• Drive AI-enabled protocol design optimization and feasibility modeling, integrating insights into operational planning and decision-making

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 14+ years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 12+ years, or a PhD with 12+ years in a related field
• Proven experience leading AI and analytics initiatives in a regulated environment
• Strong understanding of clinical trial processes and drug development
• Experience in defining KPIs and ROI frameworks for innovation and AI initiatives
• Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional teams and complex projects in life sciences
