Senior Director of Biostatistics

Job Summary

Leading a high-performing biostatistics team, the full-time Senior Director of Biostatistics will provide oversight and technical direction across multiple therapeutic areas, focusing on trial design, statistical analysis strategy, and regulatory submission support in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the design and execution of biostatistical strategies supporting clinical development, ensuring adherence to sound statistical methodologies
• Lead and mentor biostatistics staff, managing performance, training, and resource allocation to meet project needs
• Engage with external scientific stakeholders and provide strategic guidance on regulatory submissions and health authority interactions

Required qualifications

• PhD in Statistics or Biostatistics with 12+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry
• Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in managing biostatistics professionals
• Comprehensive understanding of the clinical development process, including study design and regulatory submission
• Expertise in advanced statistical methodologies and proficiency in SAS programming
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams
