Senior Director of Clinical Finance

Job Summary

To drive financial planning processes and vendor management in a dynamic environment, the remote Senior Director of Clinical Finance will manage budgeting, forecasting, and reporting while leading a high-performing team and collaborating with senior leadership and R&D on cost-effective strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee budgeting and forecasting for clinical studies, ensuring financial performance aligns with plans
• Lead procurement strategy and contract negotiations with vendors to support clinical studies
• Mentor and develop a high-performing finance team while driving process improvements and data-driven decision-making

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Business; advanced degree (e.g., MBA) preferred
• Minimum 15 years of financial planning experience, preferably in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry
• Expertise in clinical study budgeting and forecasting
• Exceptional financial modeling and analytical skills
• Strong project management and leadership capabilities, with experience interacting at executive levels
