Senior Director of Communications

Job Summary

Providing strategic leadership in a remote full-time capacity, the Senior Director of Communications will oversee the development and execution of internal and external communication strategies, enhance the organization's online presence, and manage brand design to amplify the impact of Black feminisms.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and align all communication efforts with the organization's mission and goals
• Develop and implement a comprehensive digital communications strategy to engage target audiences
• Manage and develop communications staff, setting clear expectations and fostering team empowerment

Required qualifications

• Minimum of 7+ years of experience in a strategic communications role, preferably in a mission-driven environment
• Strong Black feminist analysis and understanding of current landscape and theory
• Proficiency in messaging and storytelling techniques for effective audience engagement
• Experience in managing traditional and digital communications teams in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of video production, editing, and optimization for online platforms
