Senior Director of Data Engineering

Job Summary

Leading the modernization and optimization of enterprise data platforms, the remote Senior Director of Data Engineering will drive scalable data products, enhance data accessibility for business users, and ensure compliance with data governance requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Transform enterprise data infrastructure by modernizing data platforms, architectures, and engineering practices
• Design scalable enterprise data architectures that support analytics, AI, automation, and reporting use cases
• Lead complex transformation initiatives from strategy through execution, ensuring measurable business outcomes

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
• 15+ years of experience in data engineering, data architecture, or related technical disciplines
• Strong experience designing and implementing large-scale data architectures and enterprise data pipelines
• Deep knowledge of ETL/ELT pipelines, data transformation, and cloud data platforms
• Proven ability to lead technical teams and manage complex data engineering and transformation programs
