Senior Director of Data Strategy

Job Summary

Leading the next stage of data strategy and engineering, the full-time Senior Director of Data Strategy will define and implement Travelport's data strategy across AI, machine learning, and analytics, while collaborating with product and commercial teams to create valuable data products.

Key responsibilities

• Define and lead Travelport's data strategy, focusing on AI, machine learning, and platform modernization
• Manage a multidisciplinary data capability, including data science, engineering, and analytics
• Establish a clear path from data science proof of concept to production product, ensuring prioritization and governance

Required qualifications

• Experience leading data strategy, architecture, or engineering teams in a complex technology environment
• Recent experience in building or modernizing cloud data platforms for machine learning and advanced analytics
• Strong understanding of data quality, governance, and the complete data pipeline process
• Proficient in AWS or equivalent cloud platforms with a focus on operational discipline and cost management
• Ability to engage with senior leaders in product, commercial, and engineering domains
