Senior Director of Database Engineering
Job Summary
Leading the Database Engineering and Public Cloud Migration teams, the full-time Senior Director of Database Engineering will establish strategy and accountability for database platform reliability, cloud migration, and team development while working remotely.
Key responsibilities:
- Set organizational strategy for database platform reliability, security, and scalability
- Define and implement the roadmap for public-cloud customer migrations and automation processes
- Lead and develop senior engineering leaders and high-performing technical teams across both portfolios
Required qualifications:
- 15+ years of experience in database engineering, cloud infrastructure, or related technical disciplines
- 8+ years of experience in leadership roles, including managing senior leaders
- Experience with multi-cloud architectures and migration of global enterprise workloads
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
- Deep understanding of database reliability, disaster recovery, and performance engineering
