Senior Director of Device Engineering

Job Summary

Leading the technical efforts for device systems, the full-time Senior Director of Device Engineering will manage product development from concept to end-of-life, ensuring cross-functional collaboration and high-quality manufacturing in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Own one of the device product lanes, overseeing all aspects from concept through end-of-life
• Serve as the technical systems owner across hardware, firmware, manufacturing, and field performance
• Drive executive-level tradeoff decisions and lead product planning, execution reviews, and risk management

Required qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in developing connected hardware, embedded systems, or medical device products
• Strong expertise in embedded systems, electronics, and product architecture
• Experience with engineering validation testing and production readiness in regulated environments
• Proficiency in using AI tooling for engineering planning and operational execution
• Demonstrated program leadership and technical decision-making skills
