Senior Director of Engineering

Job Summary

Leading the evolution of platform architecture and engineering processes, the full-time remote Senior Director of Engineering will own the technical vision, integrate AI-enabled toolsets, and drive continuous improvement across delivery operations.

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain the long-term platform architecture roadmap, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security
• Champion the integration of AI-powered development tools into engineering workflows and track their impact on delivery outcomes
• Lead and mentor a high-performing organization of engineering managers and teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement

Required qualifications

• 12+ years of progressive software engineering experience with at least 5 years in a leadership role overseeing backend engineering or platform delivery teams
• Demonstrated track record of defining and executing platform architecture strategy at scale
• Proven experience deploying AI-enabled development tools and measuring their impact on delivery outcomes
• Deep expertise in modern software architecture patterns and DevOps/SRE practices
• Experience managing and scaling engineering organizations of 15+ engineers across multiple teams
