Senior Director of Engineering

Job Summary

Leading the transformation of software development through AI, the full-time remote Senior Director of Engineering will design and implement core platforms, oversee AI-native development systems, and enhance the developer experience across the software development lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Define and deliver the core platform enabling AI-native development, including model access layers and agent orchestration systems
• Design AI-driven systems that automate the generation of code, tests, documentation, and infrastructure from PRDs and design specs
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, and Design leaders to establish standardized workflows and drive organization-wide adoption of new tools and practices

Required qualifications

• Deep technical proficiency in applied AI and agentic architectures
• 15+ years in software engineering with experience in senior leadership roles in high-velocity organizations
• Proven experience building and scaling developer platforms and internal engineering systems
• Ability to design end-to-end workflows and long-term platforms rather than point solutions
• Experience operating within compliance constraints such as PCI or SOX
