Senior Director of Engineering FP&A

Job Summary

To support the Technology/R&D organization, the full-time Senior Director of Engineering FP&A will serve as the executive finance partner, managing financial planning, forecasting, and performance management while collaborating with various departments to translate engineering strategies into financial insights.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary FP&A business partner to Engineering/R&D leadership, providing financial discipline and analysis
• Own the planning, forecasting, and performance management processes for Engineering/R&D in alignment with corporate standards
• Build and maintain the R&D workforce model and analyze spend related to engineering productivity and cost efficiency

Required qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive finance experience, particularly in Engineering, Technology, or R&D environments
• Proven success in partnering with senior executives and translating complex operational details into financial insights
• Experience in building and improving FP&A processes, including workforce planning and forecast governance
• Strong command of financial modeling, variance analysis, and investment trade-off frameworks
• Familiarity with R&D capitalization, OpEx/CapEx discipline, and technology cost structures
