Senior Director of Major Gifts

Job Summary

To advance the institution's largest philanthropic campaign, the full-time remote Senior Director of Major Gifts will prospect for major gift donors, develop customized cultivation strategies, and secure philanthropic gifts exceeding $100,000 while managing a portfolio of approximately 75 constituents to generate a minimum of $4.5 million in annual gift revenue.

Key responsibilities

• Prospect and cultivate relationships with high net worth donors to solicit and secure significant philanthropic contributions
• Collaborate with Planned Giving colleagues to present opportunities for planned gifts and align donor interests with institutional priorities
• Lead and manage a team of major gift officers, driving strategy execution and achieving revenue goals

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required
• Seven years of direct fundraising experience with a proven track record in major gifts
• Two years of supervisory experience preferred
• Experience in securing six and seven figure philanthropic gifts
• CFRE certification preferred
