Senior Director of Major Gifts
Job Summary
To advance a major philanthropic campaign, the full-time remote Senior Director of Major Gifts will engage and cultivate high net worth donors, develop customized strategies for securing gifts exceeding $100,000, and manage a portfolio aimed at generating a minimum of $4.5 million in annual gift revenue.
Key responsibilities
- Prospect for and solicit major gifts from individual donors within a designated travel territory
- Collaborate with Planned Giving colleagues to present and qualify opportunities for planned gifts
- Lead and inspire a team of major gift officers while managing multiple donor relationships and priorities
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree required
- Seven years of direct fundraising experience, including two years in a supervisory role
- Proven track record of securing six and seven figure philanthropic gifts
- Experience in aligning donor interests with institutional fundraising priorities
- Preferred: CFRE - Certified Fundraising Executive certification
