Senior Director of Philanthropy

Job Summary

To support the mission of ensuring access to quality health care, the full-time remote Senior Director of Institutional Philanthropy will independently lead the organization's institutional fundraising strategy, manage a diverse portfolio of foundation partnerships, and drive growth in funding while collaborating with program leaders and the communications team.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a multi-year fundraising strategy to manage and grow a portfolio of foundation and institutional partnerships
• Craft proposals and cultivate relationships with funders, aligning their priorities with USofCare initiatives
• Oversee grant timelines, reporting requirements, and operational workflows to ensure effective stewardship across a large funder portfolio

Required qualifications

• 10+ years of nonprofit fundraising experience, with at least 8 years focused on foundation relations
• Proven track record of managing and growing a diverse foundation grant portfolio valued at $4M+
• Extensive experience in grant writing, budget proposals, and collaborative proposal development
• Demonstrated ability to develop fundraising strategies aimed at securing unrestricted support
• Familiarity with fundraising CRMs and comfort in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
