Senior Director of Reliability Engineering

Job Summary

Driving reliability transformation, the full-time Senior Director of Reliability Engineering will enhance the reliability, resiliency, and operational excellence of Marriott's Data and Core technology domains, collaborating with cross-functional teams and focusing on modern Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and DevSecOps practices in a hybrid work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute reliability strategies for Data and Core platforms, translating objectives into actionable roadmaps
• Lead the adoption of SLOs, error budgets, and operational excellence practices within engineering teams
• Manage high-performing Domain Reliability Engineering teams, driving accountability and continuous improvement

Required qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Engineering, Information Systems, or Computer Science, or equivalent experience/certification
• 10+ years of senior IT leadership experience in software engineering, platform engineering, SRE, or DevOps
• 8+ years of experience leading large-scale engineering or reliability organizations
• 3-5 years of experience operating and maintaining a Multi-Cloud environment
• Demonstrated success in driving reliability transformation across multiple engineering domains
