Senior Director of Safety Science
Job Summary
Seeking a strategic and experienced Senior Director of Safety Science, this full-time remote position will manage safety surveillance and risk management for clinical development programs, leading signal detection and safety analyses while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead safety science activities and benefit-risk assessments for development programs
- Author and maintain Safety Surveillance Plans (SSPs) and Development Risk Management Plans (dRMPs)
- Perform signal detection and management activities, including literature surveillance and preparation of Signal Analysis Reports (SARs)
Required qualifications:
- Advanced degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Nursing, or Medicine (PharmD, Ph.D.); MDs will also be considered
- 12+ years of experience in pharmacovigilance or safety science within the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry
- Demonstrated expertise in safety surveillance, signal detection, and benefit-risk assessment
- Experience authoring key safety documents and supporting regulatory interactions
- Strong knowledge of global pharmacovigilance regulations and safety data visualization tools
