Senior Director of Solutions Engineering

Job Summary

Leading the technical arm of the commercial organization, the full-time remote Senior Director of Solutions Engineering will manage pre-sales technical motions, scope integrations and migrations, and ensure seamless handoff into post-sale delivery while collaborating closely with scientific teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery with partner IT stakeholders and scope integrations, producing Binding Estimates for delivery
• Own RFP and security questionnaire responses, ensuring familiarity with relevant security and compliance standards
• Define the structure and operating model for the Solutions Engineering function while building and developing the supporting team

Required qualifications

• 8+ years in customer engineering, solutions architect, or pre-sales engineering roles, with at least 3 years in a management position
• Experience scaling customer or solutions engineering functions and managing complex integrations across enterprise data environments
• Familiarity with AI-native platforms and enterprise integration patterns such as REST APIs and event-driven pipelines
• Proficiency in scoping technical services engagements and producing SOWs and binding estimates
• Strong executive presence and ability to communicate effectively with technical and business stakeholders
