Senior Director of Trucks & Off-Road

Job Summary

Leading strategy and market acceleration for zero-emission medium- and heavy-duty trucks and commercial off-road equipment, the full-time Senior Director of Trucks & Off-Road will manage initiative strategy, build partnerships, and oversee a high-performing team while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage the Trucks & Off-Road Initiative Strategy and Operational Plan, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and market needs
• Oversee major T&OR programs and projects, ensuring they support initiative goals and market acceleration
• Engage with policy stakeholders to advance regulatory frameworks and represent CALSTART at industry events

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Planning, Environmental Studies, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree preferred
• 10+ years of experience in the medium- and heavy-duty vehicle and/or commercial off-road equipment sector
• 7+ years of program and project management experience overseeing complex initiatives
• 5+ years of business development and partnership cultivation experience
• Strong understanding of policy, regulatory, and market drivers impacting T&OR deployment nationally
