Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Director of Video Encoding Engineering.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and drive the vision for video encoding and delivery pipelines, including support for UHD and next-gen codecs
• Lead and mentor a team of engineers and managers, addressing skill gaps and evolving the team to meet technical challenges
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve video quality, reduce latency, and optimize storage and delivery costs

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of engineering leadership in video delivery, encoding, or related fields
• Experience managing and scaling multi-layered engineering organizations with 50+ engineers
• Deep understanding of codecs, streaming protocols, and DRM systems
• Proven track record of technical innovation and strategic thinking
• Experience partnering with Product and Operations teams to deliver reliable video experiences
