Senior Director, Site Reliability Engineering

Job Summary

Leading the strategic direction of the Site Reliability Engineering team, the hybrid Senior Director, Site Reliability Engineering will define long-term technical vision, drive automation initiatives, and ensure operational excellence for a global platform protecting over 15 million users.

Key responsibilities

• Define the multi-year technical strategy and roadmap for Production Engineering, focusing on platform architecture and operational standards
• Lead and mentor a high-performing SRE organization, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
• Establish enterprise-wide standards for observability and act as the executive owner for Service Health Reviews, driving company-wide maturity in reliability practices

Required qualifications

• 18+ years of relevant experience, with at least 10+ years in leadership roles within large-scale engineering or SRE organizations
• Deep technical mastery of distributed architecture, high-scale networking protocols, and multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Proven experience in setting and executing operational strategies that improve platform availability and performance
• Exceptional executive-level leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence across a global organization
• Strong production ownership experience, including defining and meeting SLOs/SLIs and managing high-stakes incident response programs
