Senior Disability Claims Examiner

Job Summary

Providing exceptional customer service in a virtual environment, the full-time Senior Disability Claims Examiner will manage approximately 95 Short-Term Disability claims while ensuring a seamless experience for employees and supporting continuous process improvement.

Key responsibilities:

• Deliver excellent customer service while overseeing a portfolio of complex claims, including those with co-morbidities and behavioral health issues
• Engage with the client's Leave team and Benefits Business Partners to enhance the claimant experience
• Document and communicate effectively through various channels to maintain strong customer relationships

Required qualifications:

• 2-3 years of experience in Short-Term Disability claims; FMLA/State Leave experience preferred
• Proficient in proactive communication through phone, email, and video calls
• Ability to interpret complex policy provisions and navigate ambiguous situations independently
• Strong organizational, time management, and analytical skills
• Experience providing technical direction to other claims personnel as needed
