Senior Distributed Systems Engineer

Job Summary

Building highly-available and scalable data-driven services, the remote Senior Distributed Systems Engineer will develop large-scale applications, support security initiatives, and productionize prototypes while collaborating with engineering and product teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain systems such as data pipelines, messaging systems, and cloud services
• Build tooling, libraries, and frameworks to support security and data platform initiatives
• Participate in planning and technical discussions to create effective solutions

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience in building distributed systems
• Proficiency in object-oriented programming, specifically in Go
• Experience with cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Familiarity with message queue technologies like AWS Kinesis or Kafka
• Understanding of core distributed systems concepts, including scalability and fault tolerance
