Senior EDI Test Engineer
Job Summary
Working remotely, the full-time Senior EDI Test Engineer will develop and execute comprehensive test plans, coordinate functional and integration testing, and manage defect processes while collaborating with cross-functional teams for a federal client.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and review test plans, create test cases and scripts based on functional requirements
- Coordinate and perform functional, integration, and regression testing while overseeing defect management
- Serve as a liaison between business, design, development, and testing teams to address EDI-related questions
Required qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in the IT industry
- Advanced expertise in testing EDI transactions, including 837 (I/P/D), 835, and others
- Proficient in healthcare messaging standards such as HL7 and FHIR
- Strong knowledge of EDI layouts and familiarity with EDI, X12/EDIFACT, and HIPAA requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field or an additional 8 years of work experience (total of 13 years experience)
