Job Summary

To support the dynamic editorial team, the full-time Senior Editor will organize and edit content for Entertainment Weekly, oversee live news coverage, and manage direct reports while working flexible hours to accommodate breaking news and live television events.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and edit a diverse range of entertainment content, ensuring timely delivery
• Manage and collaborate effectively with reporters, writers, and editors
• Contribute to reporting and writing engaging entertainment stories and news updates

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, or a related field
• 5-7 years of experience in entertainment journalism with at least 1 year in a managerial role
• Strong writing and editing skills with a keen eye for design and photography
• Solid contacts within the entertainment industry to facilitate access stories
• Experience with SEO, social media, content management systems, and analytics tools
