Senior Editor, Humanities

Job Summary

Committed to creating culturally informed curriculum materials, the full-time Senior Editor, Humanities will develop innovative instructional content for K-12 students, utilizing their editorial expertise and project management skills in a remote setting.

Key responsibilities

• Contributes ideas during project planning and ensures alignment with state objectives
• Researches, writes, and edits manuscripts while overseeing the quality and accuracy of content
• Collaborates with supervisors and external developers to manage project timelines and deliverables

Required qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in curriculum development for social studies, with K-5 experience preferred
• Teaching experience is strongly preferred
• Graduate or undergraduate degree in history, economics, education, or related fields
• Knowledge of educational methodologies and instructional design in social studies and English language arts
• Familiarity with production processes for print and digital instructional materials
