Senior Elasticsearch Engineer

Job Summary

Owning the full lifecycle of the search and analytics data platform, the full-time Senior Elasticsearch Engineer will manage cluster architecture, performance tuning, and incident response while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Developing shard allocation strategies and managing disk watermarks for high-volume indices
• Leading incident response for Elasticsearch-related issues and coordinating cross-team efforts during production incidents
• Executing migration strategies from Elasticsearch to OpenSearch, including version upgrades and new cluster provisioning

Required qualifications

• 7+ years of experience operating Elasticsearch at scale with multi-TB clusters
• Deep understanding of Elasticsearch internals and cluster state management
• Production experience with ECK or equivalent operator-based deployments
• Proficiency in Kubernetes operations for stateful workloads
• Hands-on Linux systems administration experience focused on storage and I/O performance
