Senior Electrical Engineer

Job Summary

Driving the engineering and technical review of utility-scale battery storage projects, the fully remote Senior BESS Electrical Engineer will own the electrical design process from concept through execution while mentoring project teams and ensuring the integration of low-voltage and medium-voltage components.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and review comprehensive engineering packages, including Single-Line Diagrams (SLDs) and electrical layouts
• Specify and integrate critical equipment such as Power Conversion Systems and transformers
• Perform and validate essential electrical engineering calculations and sizing assessments for utility-scale systems

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of total electrical engineering experience
• 3 to 5 years of direct experience with Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)
• Strong experience with power system modeling using ETAP and SKM
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering
• Deep understanding of industry codes (NEC, NFPA, IEEE, UL, IEC) and utility grid interconnection processes
