Senior Electrical Engineer
Job Summary
Seeking a fully remote Senior Electrical Engineer, this role will manage the standards development process, provide technical expertise, and mentor staff while contributing to NFPA's mission of enhancing safety through electrical standards and practices.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as a senior electrical technical expert and manage various codes and standards development
- Deliver technical content through training programs and provide electrical expertise to NFPA members
- Lead multidisciplinary projects and support the NFPA communications team with electrical insights
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in electrical engineering or a technical discipline
- Professional certification such as a Professional Engineering License in electrical preferred
- Minimum of 10 years of technical experience in the electrical field, including project management
- Expert knowledge of NFPA codes and standards and the standards development process
- Strong coaching and mentoring skills for junior staff development
