Senior Electrical Engineer PE Required
Job Summary
Seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer, PE Required, who will prepare and lead electrical engineering designs for large industrial facilities, with opportunities for both full-time positions in various Kiewit offices or remote contract roles.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and lead electrical engineering designs, including layout, schematics, and calculations for EPC and Design Build projects
- Evaluate and apply engineering techniques to design medium to large industrial projects, formulating technical specifications and coordinating with construction partners
- Mentor junior engineers while working independently on small projects or as part of a multi-discipline team on larger projects
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited institution
- Professional Engineering License required or ability to obtain within 12 months
- At least 8 years of experience in electrical engineering design for industrial facilities
- Advanced experience with ETAP simulation/analysis and familiarity with SmartPlant or similar design software
- Experience with FEED, D/B, EPC designs, and leading electrical projects while mentoring junior engineers
