Senior Elixir Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a full-time Senior Elixir Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs for a remote team, focusing on distributed systems, data pipelines, and improving system performance while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design and maintain scalable backend services using Elixir and Phoenix
• Develop APIs and distributed systems that support critical platform functionality
• Collaborate with AI and Data Science teams to implement intelligent automation capabilities

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong production experience with Elixir and the Phoenix framework
• Experience building scalable backend services and APIs
• Understanding of distributed systems and asynchronous processing
• Experience with PostgreSQL and relational database design
