Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Embedded Firmware Engineer - Contract (1099).

Key Responsibilities

Own the device firmware stack from schematic review and board bring-up through production firmware and OTA
Work collaboratively within a project team focused on data-intensive IoT projects
Debug commissioning flows and protocol-level issues across ecosystems

Required Qualifications

10+ years of professional embedded/firmware engineering experience in C/C++
Significant experience with ESP-IDF, including CMake/Kconfig, partition tables, and low-level driver integration
Direct experience implementing Matter on ESP32-series silicon using relevant SDKs
Hands-on experience with Matter transport protocols at the firmware level, such as Wi-Fi or Thread
Familiarity with secure boot, flash encryption, and device attestation in the Matter context
