Senior Embedded Linux Engineer

Job Summary

Working remotely, the full-time Senior Embedded Linux Firmware Engineer will develop firmware and software for smart security systems, collaborating with Principal Engineers to design stable and scalable systems while creating reusable frameworks and libraries.

Key responsibilities

• Designs integrated system components and develops engineering deliverables to meet performance, scalability, and availability metrics
• Participates in requirement definition, technical architecture review, iterative development, and code review
• Investigates and evaluates new technologies while developing core practices and frameworks for consistency and reuse

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in firmware or embedded systems development
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field
• Recent hands-on experience in Linux and C/C++ development, as well as Linux Kernel and software security analysis
• Proficient in toolchains such as Buildroot or Yocto, and experience with firmware Over-The-Air upgrades
• Experience with communication protocols including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and IoT device development
