Senior Embedded Software Developer

Job Summary

To design and develop next-generation IoT AI vision sensors and life safety devices, the fully remote Senior Embedded Software Developer will collaborate with product management and peers, mentor junior team members, and lead projects through the full development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in the architecture and development of small embedded devices (RTOS, bare-metal, C/C++)
• Integrate, develop, and customize embedded Linux OS components and software
• Provide technical guidance to the team through mentoring, training, and experimentation

Required Qualifications:

• 7+ years of professional software development experience in a SaaS company, preferably in a startup environment
• Experience in software/firmware development and architecture for resource-constrained microcontrollers and high-end embedded Linux devices
• Proven track record of designing and developing IoT solutions, preferably with AI/Computer vision capabilities
• Experience using yocto/openembedded for building embedded Linux systems and applications
• Basic hardware knowledge relevant for embedded Linux devices
