Senior Embedded Software Engineer

Job Summary

As a full-time remote Senior Embedded Software Engineer, the candidate will be responsible for developing the software stack for networking devices, including embedded firmware, device drivers, and testing utilities, while ensuring compliance with functional safety standards.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop and integrate kernel/user mode device drivers and firmware for communication devices
• Architect, design, implement, and test device drivers within Ethernovia's SDK for safety-critical automotive applications
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure adherence to best development practices and functional safety requirements

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• 6+ years of experience in software development, particularly with device drivers for communication devices
• Proficiency in C/C++ programming, with experience in Python being a plus
• Deep understanding of operating systems and kernel/device drivers, preferably in Linux or real-time operating systems
• Hands-on experience with hardware integration and testing, especially for communication devices
