Senior Employment Counsel

Job Summary

As a key advisor to People & Purpose and business leaders, the full-time remote Senior Employment Counsel will provide guidance on complex employment matters across the U.S. and the Americas, focusing on employee relations, employment laws, and the implications of AI in HR practices.

Key responsibilities:

• Advising on employee relations matters, including performance management and terminations
• Providing business-oriented advice on domestic and international employment laws and regulations
• Managing employment-related disputes and supporting mergers and acquisitions through employment diligence

Required qualifications:

• J.D. degree and membership in at least one state bar
• 7+ years of experience in employment counseling within a law firm or in-house legal department
• Prior in-house experience supporting HR or employment-focused client groups
