Senior Energy Market Analyst
Job Summary
Supporting the growth of Energy Exemplar in North America, the part-time Senior Energy Market Analyst will identify customer use cases, shape go-to-market strategies, and provide thought leadership while focusing on energy market modeling using PLEXOS.
Key responsibilities
- Identify customer challenges and propose solutions using Energy Exemplar tools and datasets
- Build and oversee production of energy market models, specifically in various ISOs
- Engage with customers to understand their needs and provide expert analysis in energy market fundamentals
Required qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in Energy Modeling and Power Market Analysis
- Strong expertise in nodal power flow modeling and understanding of concepts such as LMPs and congestion
- Foundational knowledge of energy markets and associated economics
- Four-year degree in Economics, Electric Engineering (Power Systems), or Mathematics; Master's degree or Ph.D. preferred
- Proficiency in energy economic modeling tools such as PLEXOS, Aurora, or similar
