Senior Engineer, AI Developer Tools

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Engineer, AI Developer Tools, to shape the vision, design, and rollout of next-generation AI-driven developer tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive AI-powered refactoring of monolithic platform components to streamline architecture and reduce production incidents
• Design and implement AI-enhanced code review and test automation to improve test coverage and eliminate manual QA bottlenecks
• Lead measurement and adoption of AI tools, establishing metrics to track engineering efficiency and code quality improvements

Required Qualifications

• 6+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 3 years in internal tooling or platform engineering
• Proven success in designing and delivering AI-powered developer tools with real-world impact
• Deep understanding of modern software development practices and environments (e.g., Java, TypeScript, CI/CD)
• Strong architecture and system design skills, with the ability to make build-vs-buy decisions
• Familiarity with tools like GitHub Copilot or other generative AI platforms, ideally with experience leading their adoption
