Senior Engineer - API Architecture

Job Summary

Owning the API and integration intake pipeline, the full-time Senior Engineer - API Architecture will ensure consistent execution across workstreams, define API contract standards, and design secure boundary controls in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Manage the API and integration intake pipeline for consistent triage and execution
• Define and enforce API contract standards and govern integration patterns across the enterprise
• Design and implement secure boundary controls to protect sensitive data in lower environments

Required qualifications:

• Proven experience in designing and implementing API ecosystems and integration architectures at scale
• Deep understanding of API contract design (REST, AsyncAPI) and governance models
• Strong experience with API gateways and orchestration/iPaaS platforms
• Expertise in modern authentication/authorization methods such as OAuth2 and OpenID Connect
• Experience with event-driven architecture and tools like Kafka or AWS MSK
