Senior Engineer I

Job Summary

To develop new features for a next-generation practice management platform, the full-time Senior Engineer I will work primarily on the backend, utilizing Ruby on Rails and collaborating with the Product team while writing clean, efficient code and managing various databases in a remote capacity.

Key responsibilities

• Develop new features from design to implementation, focusing on backend architecture and coding
• Collaborate with the Product team to understand customer needs and define upcoming features
• Utilize Ruby on Rails and modern JavaScript frameworks to build scalable web applications and maintain code quality

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
• 8 years (Bachelor's) or 6 years (Master's) of full life cycle development experience with Ruby on Rails
• Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks, specifically Ember.js
• Understanding of web application security, compliance standards (PCI/HIPAA), and infrastructure management using Chef
• Experience managing databases such as MySQL, Postgres, Redis, and NGINX
