Job Summary
To support a client on a contract basis, the Senior Engineer, Thermal Hydraulic Methods will develop system-level thermal hydraulic analysis methods, perform steady-state and transient analyses, and ensure effective integration with plant design and safety analysis while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and enhance thermal hydraulic analysis methods, including modeling strategies and numerical approaches
- Perform system-level analyses to assess model behavior and method performance
- Document methodologies and collaborate across disciplines to integrate thermal hydraulic methods with design and safety workflows
Required qualifications
- Degree in Mechanical, Nuclear, Chemical Engineering, or a related field
- 6+ years of experience in thermal hydraulic modeling and method development for nuclear or complex energy systems
- Proficiency in analysis tools such as RELAP5 3D, GOTHIC, or SAS
- Strong foundation in thermal fluids and reactor system behavior
- Familiarity with scientific programming and workflow automation (e.g., Python, MATLAB)
