Job Summary
Supporting a client on a contract basis, the Senior Engineer, Thermal Hydraulic Methods will develop system-level thermal hydraulic analysis methods, perform analyses to assess model behavior, and enhance modeling practices while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Develop system-level thermal hydraulic analysis methods, including modeling strategies and numerical approaches
- Perform steady-state and transient system-level analyses to characterize model behavior and assess method performance
- Document modeling methodologies and ensure integration with plant design and safety analysis workflows
Required qualifications
- Degree in Mechanical, Nuclear, Chemical Engineering, or related field
- 6+ years of experience in system-level thermal hydraulic modeling and method development for nuclear or complex energy systems
- Experience with tools such as RELAP5 3D, GOTHIC, or SAS for thermal hydraulic analyses
- Strong foundation in thermal fluids and reactor system behavior relevant to advanced reactor designs
- Familiarity with scientific programming and workflow automation (e.g., Python, MATLAB)
